A San Benito man is behind bars after deputies discovered a marijuana packaging operation being run out of his home.
It all happened at a home at 419 Hidalgo Street in San Benito on Monday.
Deputies with the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Unit arrested 32-year-old Casimiro Arriaga on a possession of marijuana charge.
Court records released late Wednesday show that deputies received information about drugs at the home.
Investigators searched the home and reported finding 63 pounds of marijuana, plastic wrapping a vacuum sealing machine inside the master bedroom.
Arriaga appeared before Cameron County Magistrate Judge Patricia Edelstein on Wednesday morning where he was issued a $20,000 dollar bond.
Jail records show that authorities have filed a U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer against him.
