Former San Benito mayor wins seat back

San Benito voters decided to bring back their former mayor.

Joe Hernandez was ousted for failing to pay property taxes.

Saturday he won back his former job over Jack Garcia with some 300 votes.

“We need to get back on board, and of course start doing the good thing for the city of San Benito, and that’s improving the quality of life,” said Hernandez.
