A controversial blog entry that included the names, titles and salaries for hundreds of employees at several local school districts has been removed.
The McAllen Monitor recently posted the story in its education blog prompting privacy concerns and outrage by school district employees.
The McAllen-based newspaper issued a public apology on its website late Wednesday afternoon.
Action 4 News received numerous calls from concerned school district employees via telephone and facebook.
Anchor Marcy Martinez spoke with one McAllen whose family was affected by the release of the information.
