One of the former leaders of the Arrellano-Felix drug cartel is now in U.S. custody.
Mexico’s Federal Investigation Agency (AFI) handed over Alberto Benjamin Arellano Felix to U.S. Marshal’s on Friday morning at Mexico City’s International Airport.
Arellano Felix is wanted out of the California’s Southern District Court for money laundering and organized crime charges.
He, along with his brothers, led the Tijuana Cartel after it splintered from the Sinaloa Cartel in the early 90’s.
