51 immigrants rescued from Reynosa stash house

Mexican authorities have reported the rescue of 51 immigrants who were heing held captive at a home in Reynosa.

Mexico's Federal Police reproted that the rescued took place on Monday at a home at the corner of Calle Emiliano Zapata and Privada Solis.

Among the immigrants were 27 Mexicans, 14 Guatemalans, two Hondurans, two El Salvadorans and six Chinese nationals.

No arrests were reported in the Monday rescue but federal police said the discovery of the stash house was the result of two arrests made last week.

Federal police rescued another 68 people last week from a stash house in the Fraccionamiento Privada Las Amercias.

Two men were arrested in that case and taken to Mexico City for prosecution.
