Multi-million dollar reward offered for new Zetas members identified in case
Some 16 San Fernando police officers are behind bars while authorities search for four alleged Zetas members wanted for the mass murders of more than 128 people.
Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (PGR) release a statement on Wednesday night reporting that the 16 municipal police officers were arrested in connection to the case.
PGR officials said the officers are accused of giving protection to the Zetas, covering up their crimes allowing them to commit mass murder.
The police officers were identified as:

• Oscar Jaramillo-Sosa
• Martin Garcia Badillo
• Jose Luis Aguilar-Velez
• Jesus Ramos Perez
• Eleodoro Robles-Sanchez
• Elpidio Reyes-Saenz
• Gilberto Rivera-Hernandez
• Lazaro Flores-Peña
• Maria Guadalupe Galvan-Hernandez
• Mario Alberto Romero-Hernandez
• Santos Maldonado-Reyes
• Julio Guadalupe Jaramillo-Vela
• Jose Manuel Avila-Lugo
• Rogelio De La Portilla-Heredia
With the arrests of the police officers, the total number of suspects jailed in the case has now reached 33 people.
PGR officials said the arrests of the police officers also lead investigators to identify four new suspects in the murders of kidnapped bus passengers.
Authorties identified the new suspects in the case as:
• Salvador Alfonso Martinez-Escobedo (a) "La Ardilla" (Leader)
• Omar Martin Estrada-Luna o de Luna (a) "El Kilo" (Cell Leader)
• Roman Ricardo Palomo-Rincones (a) "El Coyote" (Plaza Boss)
• Sarai Fabiola Diaz-Arroyo (a) "Fila" o " Muñeca" (Group Member)
All four people are believed to be members of the Zetas drug cartel and all of them remained fugitives as of Wednesday night.
Authorities are offering a $15,000,000 peso reward, or about $1,273,549 American dollars, for the capture of Martinez-Escobedo and Estrada-Luna.
A $10,000,000 peso reward, or about $849,033 dollars, is being offered for the capture of Palomo-Rincones.
Officials are offering a $5,000,000 peso reward, or about $424,516 dollars, for the capture of Diaz-Arroyo.
Another 16 suspects have been arraigned while a 17th suspect arrested on Tuesday is expected to be formally charged.
