Two Olmito men are behind bars in a case where a Rancho Viejo Country Club truck was stolen, used for stunt driving and then set on fire.

Rancho Viejo police arrested 18-year-old Reynaldo Longoria, Jr. and 20-year-old Paul Edward Curtis on different criminal charges on Monday.

Court records released on Thursday show that Curtis and two others stole a 1995 Toyota Tacoma truck registered to the Rancho Viejo Country Club last week.

Curtis and two friends allegedly took turns behind the wheel 'burning out' and 'drifting' somewhere near Merryman Road.

One of the three men men allegedly set the truck on fire and in a field off Butler Road in Olmito.

Longoria allegedly watched it all and gave the three a ride home in his car.

Police charged Longoria with tampering with evidence and criminal mischief.

The 18-year-old Olmito man appeared before Cameron County Magistrate Judge Patricia Edelstein on Thursday morning.

Judge Edelstein issued $15,500 in bonds for Longoria, who remained in custody as of Thursday evening.

The two other suspects remain at large while Curtis remains in jail under burglary, failure to identify and arson charges. He's expected to be arraigned on Friday morning.
