A Cameron County man who built a tree house for neighborhood children remains behind bars after being accused of sexually abusing two young girls.
Cameron County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested 67-year-old Juan Salinas Solis on two continuous sexual abuse of a child charges late last week.
Court records released over the weekend show that an 8-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girls from La Feria and Santa Rosa came forward with the allegations.
The girls told authorities that Solis had been sexually abusing them for months.
One girl told deputies that one the molestation session took place inside a tree house that he had built at his rural Coco Road home for neighborhood children.
Solis allegedly confessed on videotape to the crimes telling deputies he knew it was wrong but did it anyways for his own arousal.
The 67-year-old man appeared before Cameron County Magistrate Judge Patricia Edelstein on Friday morning.
It's not known if there are other victims but jail records show that Judge Edelstein issued an emergency protective order to keep Solis away from the two children in the case.
Solis remains in custody in the Cameron County Jail under $150,000 in bonds.
