A woman is behind bars after being accused in a hit & run accident that took place in La Feria on Thursday morning.
La Feria Police Chief Don Garcia says the accident happened after 8:00 Thursday morning on the Kansas City Road overpass.
He said after hitting the car, the woman drove off.
Police said they were able to catch up with her not far from the scene.
Garcia said the woman is facing the charge of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
Police report that a driver and passenger were taken to the hospital.
The extent of their injuries is unknown at this point.
