Shady, a German Sheppard from Alabama has been living in Brownsville for two months without a family.
Thanks to an organization called "PAWS", Shady will be reunited with her family Sunday afternoon.
"PAWS" is an organization that flies animals in need across the country for free.
It was a micro chip found in Shady's back that traced her all the way back to Alabama.
A new protocol that health director, Arthur Rodriguez has been pushing for.
Shocked with emotion and excitement, Shady's family will be anxiously waiting for her arrival.
"We are going to run and grab her, we've got some treats to give her and just give her a big welcome home and have a big family get together" said Jodie Wilson, Shady's owner
