Soldiers seize 11,000 pounds of marijuana in Miguel Aleman

More than 11,000 pounds of marijuana is off the streets after a seizure by Mexican soldiers in Miguel Aleman.

Mexico's Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) reported that the seizure took place on Monday.

SEDENA officials repored that it all took place in the Poblado Guardados de Abajo area.

SOldiers patrolling the area came across an abandoned building where a strong odor of marijuana was coming out.

No arrests were made but authorities seized 11,243 pounds of marijuana from inside the building.

The case remains under investigation.
