The game show Jeopardy! launched a big battle between man and machine Monday night.

The newest contestant to “Jeopardy” is an IBM computer named Watson.

Watson responds to questions and even has his own button to push when he’s ready to answer a formatted question.

IBM said the computer is stored with information that would take information hundreds of years to learn.

His two challengers are human and the best that have ever been on the popular TV show.

Brad Rutter is known for winning $3.25 million on “Jeopardy” which is the largest amount every won.

Ken Jennings is the longest running contestant with 74 shows under his belt.

Watson battled both on Monday.  For the first 15 minutes, he answered question after question.

Watson was even smart enough to choose his next category.

His opponents just watched.

Suddenly, Watson stalled answering a question incorrectly.

Jennings and Rutters were able to dig themselves out of hole creating a tie.

“Jeopardy” will continue airing the tournament locally on KGBT-TV at noon on Tuesday and Wednesday .

The winner stands to collect $1 million dollars.

Who do you think will win when it’s man versus machine?
