Former Sullivan City Police Chief Hernan Guerra has pleaded guilty in federal drug case.
Guerra and nine co-defendants appeared before U.S. District Court Judge Randy Crane in McAllen on Friday.
According to court records released on Monday, Guerra pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Guerra has been under house arrested ever since he was first arrested by federal officials back in June 2010.
The former police chief is accused of working with drug cartels to move large amounts of pot across the border and into the United States.
Judge Crane allowed Guerra to remain free on bond.
Guerra and his nine co-defendants are all expected to be sentenced on April 20th.
