Everything at McAllen’s Miller International Airport is back to normal following some glitches caused by a brief power failure.
McAllen city officials reported that the airport had to go to back up generators between 8:42 and 9:31 a.m. Monday.
The power failure caused some glitches for the airlines, who had to check in passengers manually.
City officials said the power failure did not affect the runaway.
AEP officials told Action 4 News that the brief power failure was caused by a faulty insulator on a utility pole.
Power has been restored to the airport and the surrounding area.
