A Facebook page is dedicated to two sisters who lost their lives at the hands of a drunk driver.
Their names Yanely and Yamily Mendoza and the page was put together by their loved ones who were calling for justice.
On Thursday morning, those same family and friends faced the man responsible for the loss of the two girls and even shared their grief.
But perhaps the most emotional testimony came from Yanely and Yamily's younger sister.
She told the courtroom since the deaths of her two oldest sisters life doesn’t seem to make sense anymore and is depressed.
But in the end this torn up family heard the news they'd been waiting for for over two years.
James Edward Pearson was convicted of two counts of intoxication manslaughter and sentenced to 50 years behind bars for each count.
The 52-year-old man showed little emotion to the sentence but for the girl’s mother the sentence wasn’t enough.
Mother Palmira Mendoza told Action 4 News that nothing could replace the pain of losing a child.
Pearson will serve the 50 year terms concurrently, meaning it will be 50 years behind bars for both counts.
