A San Benito McDonald’s goes down as the last restaurant in 2010 to be featured on Food 4 Thought for being shutdown.
The fast food eatery on 821 South Sam Houston Boulevard had a “major” rodent problem, according to a health inspection report.
Photos taken by a chief health inspector showed a dead mouse on a trap.
It was also noted on the McDonald’s report that a “very bad smell” of dead mice lingered in the building.
The Food Patrol exposed how the restaurant was first warned to clean up the problem on a December 9th inspection.
The health department ordered McDonald’s closed on Monday afternoon after it was discovered by an inspector that it had gotten worse.
McDonald’s was allowed to reopen the following morning.
