Identity of dead baby found in McAllen remains unknown

(AP) -- Police said it will be extremely difficult to find out who placed a dead baby girl in a donation box that was shipped from Phoenix to a warehouse in McAllen.

The child was discovered as workers sorted through clothing sent from Arizona.

Phoenix police are waiting to hear from Texas officials about whether the baby was born alive.
