Border Patrol rescues two immigrants near Falfurrias

Two illegal immigrants are safe and sound but facing deportation after being rescued in the brush country near Falfurrias.

U.S. Border Patrol agents told Aciton 4 News that the rescue took place on Monday in a remote area of Brooks County.

Investigators said one of the illegal immigrants called the Brooks County Sheriff's Office 911 system to report he was lost in the brush.

Border Patrol agenst found the man and a woman in a ranch south of Falfurrias.

Both of them were reported to be appear in good health and declined medical treatment.

Border Patrol agents said they were both transported to the Falfurrias station for processing.

The Border Patrol's Rio Grande Valley sector reported it rescued 133 illegal immigrants in fiscal year 2010.
