Cold and rainy weather didn't keep people away from Black Friday specials.

Hundreds of anxious shoppers lined up outside the McAllen Best Buy wrapped in blankets and jackets.

Doors opened around 5:00 a.m.

Shoppers came from all over the Rio Grande Valley as well as from Reynosa and Mexico City.

Action 4 News spoke with some shoppers who traveled 12 hours from Mexico City for Black Friday.

They said with tough economic times, they're taking every opportunity to save money.

Best Buy management said they've been preparing for Black Friday for at least a month.

They said it's their biggest revenue day of the year.

To help shoppers they said they scheduled at least 100 employees to work the morning shift.

Sought out items seemed to be laptops and digital cameras.

Best Buy management was stationed outside the store since 3:00 a.m., making sure people were organized.

They also passed out coupons for some great deals, including flat screen televisions for as low as $47.00.

Mcallen Police were also on standby to help with security.
