Protestors have descended on the Cameron County Courthouse as authorities try to recount the votes in the County Judge's race.

The results in the race remain unclear three weeks after the November 2nd election.

Both Republican incumbent Carlos Cascos and Democratic Party challenger John Wood are claiming victory in the race.

Cascos won the race on Election Night by 80 votes but a recount in the race only created controversy.

Cameron County Elections Administrator Roger Ortiz initally reported that Cascos won the recount but Wood's camp claims he won the recount.

Protestors supporting both Wood and Cascos are outside the courthouse.
