Santa Rosa Police Chief Xavier Martinez was reinstated to his post this afternoon.

Martinez told Action 4 News that he goes back to work Thursday morning.

The Santa Rosa chief was fired last week following a controversy involving one of the town's aldermen.

Action 4 News will have more information during our 6 p.m. newscast.
