Baby, immigrants rescued from kidnappers in Altamira

The Mexican Navy rescued 10 immigrants, including a 7-month-old child, from kidnappers in Altamira on Saturday.

Authorities confirmed the rescue in a written statement released on Monday morning.

Officials said Marines arrested three suspected kidnappers and seized weapons and vehicles.

The immigrants were identified as five women, four men and the baby.

Three are Mexican, four are from Colombia, two from El Salvador and one from Ecuador.
