A chase in the Port Isabel area ended with a crash.

Cameron County Pct. 1 Constable Horacio Zamora spoke to Action 4 News about the case.

Constable Zamora said the chase started in the Port Isabel/Laguna Heights area when a deputy constable spotted a white Pontiac with Mexican license plates driving erratically.

The deputy constable tried to pull the car but the driver sped off.

The driver tried to turn around but ended up crashing into a ditch.

The driver was not injured but Constable Zamora said he is wanted for a parole violation out of New Mexico.

The man’s name is not being released at this time but he is expected to face a judge.
