A rally in Brownsville featuring former U.S. President Bill Clinton is moving across the street following objections raised by Cameron County Judge Carlos Cascos.
Cascos told Action 4 News that he believes the rally violates the Texas Election Code.
Texas state law requires that signs, activists and audio-powered devices be a certain number of feet away from a polling place.
The rally is taking place at Veterans Park, which is next door to a polling place - the Brownsville Public Library.
Cascos is the incumbent and Republic candidate for Cameron County Judge race.
His Democratic Party opponent John Wood is expected to speak at the Bill Clinton rally.
Cameron County Elections Administrator has not returned calls for comment but Action 4 News spoke with organizers of the rally.
They said the original location for the rally inside Veterans Park does not violate the Texas Election Code but decided to move it to avoid problems.
The new location of the rally is at a vacant field across the street from Veterans Park.
The field is located on the northwest corner of Central Boulevard and Wild Rose Lane.
Admission is free. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. today. The event starts at 3:30 p.m.
Action 4 News will provide LIVE VIDEO STREAMING of the event starting at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
