La Botana Grill on 902 Dixieland Road in Harlingen is back on the Food Patrol’s naughty list.
The restaurant was featured earlier this year after it was discovered they had left “unearned” top performer stickers from a former business on its door.
Customers sounded the alarm.
The Food Patrol watched as the owner peeled off each and every one.
Some of the stickers dated back to 2007.
This time the Food Patrol exposed La Botana Grill for dirty dining.
The eatery scored 27 demerits as a low performer.
Kitchen cops believed food products may have been contaminated following a gas leak in the building.
Pounds and pounds of different foods were voluntarily destroyed.
