It was just another blow to an already grieving family.
“I can’t even explain how nice he was and sincere and compassionate,” said Tiffany Hartley as she describes the first time she met Rolando Flores-Villegas.
She said while she does not know if his involvement with David’s case lead to his beheading--she has her suspicions.
"It’s hard to say--I mean these people (the cartel) they aren't compassionate to anybody," said Hartley.
Hartley touched her wedding ring during most of the interview and said she clings to hope that David will be found.
“Maybe it’s not God’s plan to get him physically back,” said Tiffany. “But for now that’s what we’re standing on…that will get him back.”
She said she is not worried about her own safety, but refuses to go back to a place she used to call home.
“People are asking if I’m going to go back to Mexico and the answer is no,” said Tiffany. “I’ve already filled out the paperwork that I needed to fill out and if there is something else then they need to bring it here.”
