EDINBURG, TEXAS (AP) -- The U.S. Border Patrol says its agents have seized more than six tons of marijuana in the past six days along the Lower Rio Grande Valley stretch of Texas-Mexico border.
The cumulative value of the seized contraband exceeds $10.2 million, according to a Border Patrol statement issued Wednesday.
Patrol officials say the biggest haul of the 13,000 pounds seized came Thursday at Rio Grande City. That's where and when agents took more than three tons of marijuana.
Kingsville agents seized almost two tons on Sunday.
