Two bullet riddled bodies are found on a highly traveled road in the Brownsville city limits.

A Cameron County Sheriff’s deputy was travelling along FM 511 around 8 p.m. Thursday night near the U.S. Border Patrol office in Olmito when he noticed what he thought was a one vehicle traffic accident.

The FBI, Texas Rangers, ICE, Cameron County Sheriff’s Department along with Brownsville Police shut down the busy roadway for at least 4 hours examining the crime scene and collecting evidence.

The Dodge pick-up came to a stop in the middle of a median in a grassy area.

Sources told Action 4 News the Dodge pick-up had Mexican plates.

Few details are being released on the motive.

Brownsville Police spokesman Eddie Garcia said “the two victims were Latin, in their 20’s

Both were said to have multiple gunshot wounds to their face and upper torso.

Brownsville Police is leading the investigation, and they are expected to release additional information later this morning.
