The son of Hidalgo County Precinct 3 Commissioner Joe Flores was arraigned on several charges Thursday afternoon including evading arrest and accident involving injury or death.
Marco Antonio Flores is accused of fleeing from authorities in Mission just before midnight on Wednesday.
Flores lead police on a chase, crashing several times before fleeing on foot.
Two officers received minor injuries during the pursuit.
Flores' father, who is a county commissioner, said his son is no saint and has been in trouble with the law before.
He said he told Mission P.D.'s Chief Leo Longoria to treat him just like an other citizen in trouble with the law.
Tonight on Action 4 News at 10, hear more from the commissioner who spoke to Ryan Wolf while out of town.
We will also reveal more about the charges his son faces.
