This election year there are three write-in’s on the ballot.
"We have a write-in for governor, state board of education, and county commissioner precinct one," said Hidalgo County Election Administrator Yvonne Ramon.
She said they had to change things up a bit—because the machines are all electronic.
"In the voting booth we will have a list of the position, candidates name, and instructions on how to select a write-in candidate," said Ramon.
She said there have been write-in’s in the past—but believes people are more aware of it now because there is a local race involved.
