Grenade found near Weslaco

A worker found a live grenade overnight, according to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department.

The sheriff’s department reportedly responded to the site near Weslaco, north of Mile 10 North on 4 ½ West.

At that point, the department said they called in the McAllen bomb squad.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
