A body discovered north of Mission last month has been identified as that of a missing Economedes High School student who was also a member the TCB gang.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies were called out to a make-shift grave at 2601 Ken Drive on Tuesday, August 24th.

Investigators told Action 4 News this afternoon that the body was finally been identified as that of 18-year-old Roberto Javier Resendez.

Deputies said Resendez was a TCB gang member and a student at Economedes High School.

Investigators said Resendez had a lengthy criminal history that included numerous felony and misdemeanor arrests.

Deputies said Resendez was believed to be the  trigger man in the drug-related death of Gilberto Rosalez Aguilar back on February 6.

Identification of Resendez's body was made possible through the use of dental records.

Deputies said arrests have been made for Resendez's death.
