Seven killed in explosion at PEMEX refinery outside Monterrey

At least seven people are dead following an explosion at a PEMEX facility outside of Monterrey.

The El Universal newspaper reported that the explosion took place at a refinery in Cadereyta on Tuesday morning.

The refinery is located about 23 miles east of Monterrey.

A cause of the explosion is not clear but El Universal reported that at least six other people were injured.
