Asthma continues to be a growing health concern in South Texas.

That's why the Texas A&M Health Science Center will be hosting a conference on asthma control this Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Texas A&M Health Science Center McAllen campus.

The conference will offer health care professionals the latest standards of care for asthma management in pediatric patients.

Dr. Jenny Carillo said health care professionals will be able to use the information to better care for their patients.
