Two teenage boys are recovering this morning after a car hit them Wednesday night and ran and didn't stop to help.

Harlinge police told Action 4 News that the accident happened late Wednesday night just before midnight.

Police said a car, possibly pearl or white in color, was heading east in the right hand lane of West Business 83 near Stuart Place Road when it hit a 16-year-old and 17-year-old.

Both boys were reportedly taken to the Valley Baptist Medical Center for treatment

Now, Harlingen Police are looking for the car and driver.

The car could be a GM model.

Anyone with information is asked to call Harlingen Police at 956-216-5400 or Crime Stoppers at 956-425-TIPS.
