Hidalgo neighbors wake up to immigrant chase

Residents in one Hidalgo neighborhood woke up to police sirens after an illegal immigrant chase that ended with several arrests.

It all happened off Park Street in the City of Hidalgo around 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Full details were not immediately available but the chase ended with a white car crashing into a fence and several immigrants bailing out.

Police officers were able to catch some of the immigrants in one neighbor's backyard.

Another immigrant was found hiding in a trash can.

Neighbors told Action 4 News they are breathing a sigh of relief that situation didn't turn out worse.
