We have an update on an Action 4 News Exclusive.
A two year old Zapata girl, who went missing after her mother was found dead in Mexico, is finally back home with her family.
Two year old Nayeli Luna went across the border with her mother and little brother, back in April of this year, to visit family in Reynosa.
Her mother, Maricela Ayers was later found dead and mutilated in Miguel Aleman.
As Action 4 News first reported, the little girl was found in Reynosa back in May.
Zapata County Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez says the little girl was just recently returned home to her family in Zapata on July 2.
The sheriff says word of an Action 4 News Investigation into the child's disappearance made it to Port Arthur, TX, where they received a tip on the girl's whereabouts.
Nayeli’s one-year-old brother remains missing.
