Dike break spurs evacuations in La Grulla

Voluntary evacuations are underway this morning in the Starr County community of La Grulla.

The La Grulla Police Chief says around 12:30 Monday morning, a dike broke.

He says that combined with a rising river caused flooding.

The Chief says water now surrounds 22 to 25 homes.

He says two homes have water inside and about 25 people have evacuated.
