On Friday, Action 4 News confirmed what many had feared, that the "Still Blingin" Tour's main act Katt Williams was never set to take the stage in Harlingen as promoted by Marjai Entertainment.
“I spoke to the city manager and that’s where I found out that apparently the people that are doing the promotion never even spoke to Katt Williams people -- he didn’t even sign up to come down here," said Jerry Prepejchal Harlingen City Commissioner.
After uncovering the truth we contacted charirman of Marjai Entertainment David Brown about the latest developments and to see if people who bought tickets would be getting refunds.
Brown only sent us an e-mail saying "no comment to you."
But it looks like persistence from Action 4 News paid off because after uncovering the truth and airing our report.
Action 4 News received word that Marjai Entertaiment is now cancelling the entire event and will be giving out refunds.
In calling Marjai Entertainment’s phone line there is a message that stating, “If you’re calling in regards to the Katt Williams “Still Blinging Tour” in Harlingen tickets will be refunded minus the service fee. You will need to return your tickets in order to receive this refund. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at 956-631-0015.”
