An Edinburg man is behind bars after he allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old Donna girl and got her pregnant.
Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Juan Jose Torres under a sexual assault charge.
The 19-year-old Edinburg man is expected to be arraigned at the Hidalgo County Jail at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Torres started seeing the girl when she was 14 years old.
The girl allegedly told investigators that she and Torres had sex several times at his Roman Circle home between December 2009 and February 2010.
The girl's family told deputies that they came forward after they learned she became pregnant.
Family members told deputies that Torres is the father and that the girl is six months pregnant with his baby.
