A McAllen man is behind bars after he allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl outside a community center.
McAllen police arrested 20-year-old Manuel Lopez Lozano under an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the girl’s rape happened Tuesday outside the Lark Community Center.
The center is located off Lark Avenue between North 23rd and North 29th Streets.
Investigators don't believe Lozano targeted anyone else.
If convicted in the case, Lozano could face life in prison.
