Mexican authorities are reporting that the bodies of 20 people have been found in the coastal Tamaulipas city of Madero over the past two days.
Federal police told the Agence France-Presse (AFP) that authorities started finding the bodies on Thursday. By Friday, the body count reached 20.
Authorities told the AFP that the discovery of the bodies is related to a series of clashes between groups of armed men and authorities.
The AFP reported that one clash on Thursday did not appear to have casualties but that bodies were later found other locations.
