A Rio Grande Valley landowner claims a Mexican military helicopter crossed into the United States and flew over his land in Cameron County.
Monsees Farms owner Rusty Monsees told Action 4 News that the alleged incursion happened before 1:30 p.m. Friday.
The property is located along the Rio Grande in rural area of Southmost just outside Brownsville city limits.
Monsees told Action 4 News that the helicopter flew over his land and then flew back into Mexico.
Border Patrol spokesman Joe Treviño told Action 4 News that agents patrolling the area spotted a helicopter on the Mexican side of the river.
Treviño said agents did not witness an incursion into the United States.
Monsees, an activist whose property is behind the border fence, insists that the incursion happened.
The Federal Aviation Administration told Action 4 News that it could not confirm whether or not a Mexican military helicopter strayed into the United States.
There have been three alleged Mexican military helicopter incursions into the United States in Zapata and Starr Counties since March.
If the incident on Monsees' property is confirmed, it could be the first documented helicopter incursion in Cameron County.
Action 4 News will have a full report during our 10 p.m. newscast.
