Police said suspect stole towels, bedding out of 'revenge'
Two men and two women are behind bars after they allegedly broke into Harlingen hotel to steal blankets and towels.
Harlingen police arrested the four under burglary charges early Wednesday morning.
Employees at the Hudson House Hotel on Ed Carey Drive told police they evicted the four from their room.
The for allegedly came back, broke a window and stole blankets, pillows, bedsheets and towels worth about $35 dollars.
The four were found driving in a white Lincoln down the street.
Police identified the four suspects as:
- Reymundo Flores, 23, Combes
- Ashley Nicole Banda, 20, Harlingen
- Monica M. Cardenas, 19, Harlingen
- Steven E. Zapata Jr., 19, Harlingen
Officers told Action 4 news that Flores had a small amount of marijuana and that Cardenas lied about her identity to avoid warrants for outstanding tickets.
The four appeared before Harlingen Municipal Judge Travis Bence on Wednesday morning.
They each remain in custody under bonds of $5,000 dollars or more.
