Harlingen High School is under lockdown following a late afternoon bomb threat.

Authorities told Action 4 News that a bomb threat was made against the school at 4:15 p.m. Friday.

School district officials said classes were already finished for the day but 25 percent of students remained on campus.

Those students were sent back to their classrooms while the campus was placed under lockdown.

Both Harlingen police and firefighters are at the scene.

The last day of classes for Harlingen schools is Friday, May 28th.

Action 4 News will post more information as it becomes available.
