Harlingen teen arrested in 'road rage' case

A Harlingen teenager is behind bars after he allegedly rammed his car into a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old man.

Harlingen police arrested 18-year-old Isaiah Perkins on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapons charge on Tuesday night.

Investigators told Action 4 News that received reports about a disturbance involving two vehicles off North Commerce Street and Loop 499 around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers were able to pull both cars over at intersection of Primera and Wilcox Roads.

A 51-yaer-old man identified as the alleged victim in the case told police Perkins was driving erratically in his grey 1991 Cadillac.

The alleged victim reported that Perkins then intentionally rammed his Cadillac into the man's blue 2005 Honda.

Investigators did not release a motive in the incident but labeled it an act of "road rage".

Perkins appeared before Harlingen Municipal Judge Travis Bence on Wednesday morning where he received a $20,000 dollar bond.
