Several doctors and members of the community were protesting outside the Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco late Wednesday morning.

Protestors told Action 4 News that they are against the merger of Knapp Medical Center with the Valley Baptist Health System.

The protest took place during the Knapp Medical Center's board meeting, which was going on inside the building.

Action 4 News spoke to doctors and protestors at the scene.
