At least nine employees at La Joya's Juarez-Lincoln High School were accused of stealing funds from a grant the school recieved.
A Hidalgo County grand jury met last week and indicted the employees on the following charges:
- Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity
- State Jail Felony Theft
- Tampering with a Government Record
One of the employees is the high school's principal Jimmy Gonzalez, who resigned back in December 2009.
Authorities told Action 4 News that seven of the nine people indicted are still working for the school distirct.
Six of the seven were suspended with pay as of this morning.
