A Hidalgo County man is expected to face a judge after killing a Mission drug dealer in an alleged robbery attempt.
Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested 18-year-old Justin Scepanski on a capital murder charge over the weekend.
Deputies were called to a shooting off the 9900 block of Moorefield Road outside Mission around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that they found alleged drug dealer Baldemar Villarreal bleeding with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Villarreal died during surgery but was able to tell deputies he was shot by a man named "Justin".
Deputies determined the suspect was Scepanski.
The 18-year-old suspect allegedly told deputies he came to rob Villarreal.
Sheriff Lupe Treviño told Action 4 News that Scepanski admitted to being a customer of Villarreal's and that he told witnesses he was going to rob him.
Scepanski remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail where he's expected to be arraigned late Monday morning.
Public records show Scepanski had a prior arrest for theft in Edinburg.
