Authroties ruled a late Tuesday night fire at a strip club outside Harlingen as an arson case.

Harlingen Fire Department officials told Action 4 News that a small fire started in the rear of Valley Girls off FM 801 and FM 800 around 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.

No injuries were reported.  Employees were reportedly able to put help put the fire under control before firefighters arrived.

A garden hose and buckets could still be seen on Wednesday morning scattered around the location of the fire.

Because the fire is outside city limits, Cameron County Fire Marshalls took over the investigation.

They ruled the fire as arson.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Cameron County Crime Stoppers Hotline at (956) 350-5551.
